Product Description
If you've ever thought about where you could go for a perfect weekend, North Carolina Weekends has the answer. If you want to go to the beach or mountains or visit one of the Piedmont's cities, just use the book's geographical groupings to find which outings cover the region you want to visit. If you have specific interests for your weekend trip, check the 50 separate categories listed in the "Start Here" chart to find which trips offer the activities you're seeking.

Setzer begins each of her 46 suggested weekends with a brief summary of what to expect. She recommends places to stay and eat, things to do, sites to see, and special festivals and events around which you might want to build your visit to the area.

Whether you're interested in shopping for antiques, strolling through a museum, hiking through a natural area, playing a round of golf, visiting a historic site, listening to live music, finding a good picnic spot, going fishing, or participating in a multitude of other activities, this book makes your planning easy.

Product Reviews:
Not good for visitors of NC
I recently moved to NC and bought this with anticipation of using it to visit various places. The book suggested visiting the aviation museum in Charlotte. I paid $8 to get a tour of a airplane junkyark and all the tour guides were volunteer. Therefore, when my tour guide got tired of walking around he basically told me to "go on and check everything else out, I'm going back inside". I could have gotten more satisfaction out of watching the history channel. BASICALLY, THE BOOK NEEDS TO BE EDITED AND SOME OF THE SUGGESTED PLACES TO VISIT NEED TO BE REMOVED. SEEMS LIKE THE AUTHOR DIDN'T REALLY VISIT THESE PLACES THEMSELVES. NOT WORTH SPENDING MONEY ON.
