The CD will be really helpful when I teach Minimus next year to my 3rd grader. I only wish that in addition to the conversational speed that it had a second track that went a bit slower.

 Misleading reviews
I purchased this audio cd and the book to go with it based on reviews I read. I was led to believe my children and I would enjoy the cartooning and listening, but it didn't happen. The book was far too complicated and the cd did not follow the book at all. Yes we were listening to Latin, but we had no idea what it was saying which made it really boring. I have sent both items back and am hoping to get my hard earned money back.

A very User Friendly Latin book ( ginochka )
I used this with my 2 boys when they were in 3rd and 4th grades, We purchased the CD but did not purchase the teachers manual. I think that we were very successful finishing the book in a timely manner. We worked on 1 lesson per week in one sitting and the boys studied their work 2-3 x per week by listening to the CD while looking over the book. One does not need to have any prior knowledge in Latin to direct this course.

Minimus Audio CD ( michelle_woowoo )
This is a great little CD, it really helped my eight year old daughter learn how to speak faster and apply what she is learning in lessons to actual conversations. I highly recommend this CD as a companion to the book, which is also wonderful.
